TEHRAN, Jan. 14 (MNA) – An exhibition featuring Mojtaba Karami’s artwork on the poetry of Iranian poet Khayyam and Spanish Flamenco dance will open on Friday Jan. 16.
The opening ceremony of 'Khayyam and Flamenco' exhibition will take place on Friday January 16 from 16:00 to 20:00 local time.
The exhibition consists of interdisciplinary artworks by Mojtaba Karami, and is being held in association with Shams Tabrizi & Mowlana Foundation, as well as Mahan Seir Sam Tourism Organization.
The artworks going on display are an attempt at merging two different fields: The Rubaiyat (quatrains) of Khayyam and Flamenco Dance; prompting the visitors to contemplate who Khayyam was and what flamenco constitutes, thus initiating various viewpoints among the visitors and piquing their interests in the two different fields.
According to the exhibition’s leaflet, the quatrains used in the artworks are both in Persian and Spanish.
The exhibition is open to public from 17-19 January from 10:00 to 17:00 local time at Shams Tabrizi & Mowlana Foundation, No. 3, Niloofar Alley, Movahed Danesh St., Tehran, Iran.
