Breaking sanctions a must for Iran’s progress: President

14 Jan 2015 - 8:16

Bushehr, Jan 13, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani said on Tuesday evening that breaking the anti-Iran sanctions is the only way to achieve national progress.
The President made the remarks while addressing a group of local scholars, elites and clerics in this southwestern provincial capital city.
He said sanctions should be broken in a way that would preserve national independence and dignity.

President Rouhani said Iran’s nuclear negotiating team has “a profound understanding about national interests, is completely familiar with politics and respects independence of the country.'

He urged critics of the nuclear talks to “make their criticisms respectfully and offer better solutions.”

President Rouhani said it was not easy to negotiate with six world powers.

The President said he is “completely optimistic about the future” and stressed that Iranians would overcome the present difficult time with solidarity and unity.

President Rouhani arrived in Bushehr on a two-day visit Tuesday on his 12th provincial tour.
