Direct flights between Iran's Isfahan and Turkey's Istanbul will be launched this week, ISNA quoted Isfahan governor general Alireza Zaker Esfahani as saying.
The flights will be carried out twice a week, he said, adding that the Isfahan-Istanbul flight will be increased in the future.
The flight will contribute to the expansion of carpet and industrial exports from Isfahan, he noted. It will also help to promote tourism both in Iran and in Turkey, the official said.
