TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s parliament speaker urged the Muslim nations to close ranks against the world’s arrogant powers, stressing that infighting has the most harmful effect on the Islamic community.
“Today, the worst vice in the Muslim Ummah (community) is creation of division and conflicts among the religious brothers, and the most necessary virtue is invitation to unity, solidarity and integrity in the face of tyranny, arrogance and Zionism,” Ali Larijani said in a letter to his Muslim counterparts on the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
The Iranian speaker also called on the Islamic world’s elites and leaders to strengthen fraternity and rapport in the Islamic Ummah as a heavy duty that Prophet Muhammad has recommended.
The 17th day of the lunar Islamic month of Rabi-ul-Awwal marks the birth anniversaries of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Imam Ja'far Sadeq (PBUH).
