President: Iran's economy advancing to 15th position from 17th

15 Dec 2012 - 11:23

ahmadinejadPresident Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Thursday that Iran as the 17th economy of the world is advancing to the 15th position.
Addressing the 10th nationwide seminar of commanders and directors of Khatam ul-Anbiya Headquarters, he said that Iran boasts of a big economy.

Referring to the pressure of enemies on the Iranian nation, he said that the pressures should be turned into opportunities for building the country.

"This is possible but attitudes should be changed," he said.

The enemies thought that if they impose restrictions on the country, it will eventually fall but it has numerous resources.

Stating that great jobs are being done in Iran, he said that there is no area for which Iranian experts lack capabilities.

Describing infrastructures and economic investment as necessary for a role model and advanced country, he said that any constructive economic move needs infrastructures such as railway, power industry and dam construction and the like but establishing infrastructures takes 50 or 100 years.

Establishment of infrastructures should complete at the earliest, he reiterated.
