TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iraqi Defense Minister Khaled al-Obeidi would arrive in Tehran on Monday to discuss issues of mutual interests as well as regional and international matters with senior Iranian officials.
Al-Obeidi who is officially invited by his Iranian counterpart Brigadier General Hossein Dehghan is visiting Iran on top of a defense delegation.
The two sides would confer on defense cooperation and fighting terrorism.
Iraq is facing tensions created by the ISIL Takfiri terrorists that have overrun large swaths of land in the country. They have been committing heinous crimes in the areas they have taken, including the mass execution of civilians as well as Iraqi army troops and officers.
