Jask, Persian Gulf, Dec 27, IRNA – Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said on Saturday that Iran’s neighboring states need to know that the country’s military power is no threat against them.
Commander Sayyari made the remarks while speaking to IRNA on the sidelines of the third day of the Mohammad Rasoulallah (PBUH) war game which started on Thursday in a 2.2 million-square-kilometer area in southern Iran.
The six-day military drill stretches from east of Hormuz Strait in southern Iran to southern parts of the Gulf of Aden.

It is being participated by various units from ground forces as well as air force fighters and navy vessels. It is aimed at improving rapid reaction of the Iranian armed forces.

“Our neighbors should know that upgrading Iran’s military might would pose no threat against anyone, instead, it is aimed at protecting Iran’s national interests and borders,” he noted.

He added the message of the war game is that Iran is capable of providing security of the entire region from north of the Indian Ocean to the east of the Strait of Hormuz.

According to Sayyari Iran’s Faateh submarine will be tested during the military drill.
