Tehran, Dec 18, IRNA – Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in a telephone conversation with Pakistan's Premier and National Security Advisor condemning the Peshawar terrorist act underlined that the enemies by such actions try to discredit Islam.
Zarif in the telephone conversation with Sartaj Aziz on Wednesday afternoon condemned the Peshawar terrorist act and expressed sympathy with the victim's bereaved families and the people of Pakistan.
He added that Iran, in accordance with its strategic policy, condemns every kind of terrorist act and considering its friendly relations and brotherly feelings with the Pakistani nation and government, strongly condemns the Peshawar incidence.
Zarif expressed Iran's readiness for cooperation with Pakistan and other countries of the region in fight against radicalism and in efforts aimed at uprooting the terrorism menace in the region.
Sartaj Aziz, for his part, appreciated the Iranian government and nation's sympathy over the sad incidence.
He added that bilateral and regional cooperation is the most effective way in combat agianst the terrorist and extremist groups.
