BRUSSELS, December 15. /TASS/. Russia played a constructive role at the talks on Iran’s nuclear problem in Vienna, German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said on Monday.

Due to Russia’s role the P5+1 group (five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany) succeeded in taking a step forward, Steinmeier said.

“It didn’t seem to us Russia took a confusing position at the talks with Iran because of the situation in Ukraine and the conflict between the West and the East,” he said.

“It was unnoted. On the contrary, Moscow contributed to the P5+1 group to taking a step forward,” Steinmeier said.

Commenting on the West-Russia cooperation in several international problems, he said concrete actions should follow.

“There are enough words. It is necessary to decide if you are able to bring closer positions on different issues,” Steinmeier said, adding “It is better to give up any public statements. The work on details is more important.”.
