10 Dec 2014 - 12:07

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A Hamas official voiced the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement’s enthusiasm for closer relations with Iran.
“Hamas is very interested in strengthening its age-old relations with Iran and makes special efforts to do that,” Muhammad Nasr, head of a Hamas delegation to Tehran said on Tuesday.

He said the Palestinians group has dispatched the delegation to Iran to mobilize the Islamic community’s potential in supporting the Palestinian nation.

Hamas is eager to enhance ties with Iran since the both sides are fully aware of the significance of cooperation to deal with the critical conditions the Muslim nations are now experiencing, Nasr reiterated.

The delegation arrived in Tehran on Monday. Led by Nasr, a member of the political bureau of Hamas, the team also includes two members of Hamas political bureau Maher Obeid and Ahmad Jamal, the head of foreign affairs Osama Hamdan, and the representative of the movement in Tehran, Khaled Qadoumi.
