TEHRAN (FNA)- Sudanese Minister of Health Riak Gai Gok said Iran's medical achievements and high-quality products have persuaded his ministry to meet the country's demands with Iranian medicines.
In a meeting with Head of Iran's Food and Drug Organization Rasoul Dinarvand in Tehran on Monday, the Sudanese minister expressed his willingness to sign contracts with Iran to import pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.
Iran is an observing member of the African Union (AU) and has shown an active presence in previous AU summit meetings.
The country is considered as one of the AU's strategic partners along with India, Japan, China, several South American states and Turkey, while Tehran is also believed to be prioritizing promotion of its economic and political ties with the African states.
