Tehran, Dec 8, IRNA – Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim Jafari said Iran expects more help from Iran in its fighting against Daesh (ISIS).
He made the remarks in a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif here on Sunday evening.
Concerning goals of his visit to Iran, Jafari said the visit is in direction of deepening common ties and happens in the framework of historical and geographical realities between the two countries.
Referring to strategic danger of Daesh as a common threat to Iran and Iraq, Jafari added that the threat makes both countries expand relations in the high level.
Jafari said given the long common border, there are deep ties between people of both countries.
Appreciating Iran for its humanitarian stance, Jafari said Iraq is in an exceptional situation now and we are glad that all Iraqi organizationas are mobilized against Daesh.
Religious authorities have done considerable efforts to mobilize people and groups to fight against ISIS, added Jafari.
