TEHRAN Dec 01 (Shana)--Shazand Petrochemical Plant has supplied 615,000 tons of petrochemical products to Iranian and foreign markets in six months, the company’s manager said.
Khodadad Gharibpour said the plant’s rated capacity has reached 1.6 million tons of petrochemicals a year.
He said the company managed to produce 1.819 million tons in the Iranian year to March 2013 and 1.847 million tons in the year to March 2014.
Gharibpour said the main destinations for the petrochemicals are Turkey, China, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia and Iraq.
The plant also supplies the needs of more than 5,000 downstream units involved in car manufacturing, medical equipment, painting, textile, detergent, cosmetics and sanitation.
Shazand Petchem Plant produces ethylene, propylene, CFU, polypropylene, high-density polyethylene, low-density polyethylene, butadiene, ethylene oxide, acetic acid, etc.
