KERMANSHAH, Nov. 30 (MNA) – On the eve of World AIDS Day (Dec. 1), new specialized HIV Healthcare Centers are opened in Kermanshah and 11 other provinces in Iran.
Executive deputy of Healthcare Center in Kermanshah Province told Mehr News that the ‘family physician plan’ has been implemented in towns and cities with less than 20,000 population for more than 9 years and added that currently some ‘noteworthy plans in the field of health improvement’ are underway.
Parviz Ardalan continued, “one of these plans is to integrate dental care with the family physician plan so that children under 12 years old and pregnant mothers can be provided with free oral health services.”
Ardalan also noted that new specialized HIV healthcare centers have been opened in Kermanshah along with 11 other provinces in Iran.
“This healthcare center is equipped with the most advanced serological diagnostic equipment, that is the CD4 count, which tells how strong your immune system is, indicates the stage of your HIV disease, guides treatment, and predicts how your disease may progress,” he said.
