Najafi asks IAEA to present authentic documents for claims

21 Nov 2014 - 12:06

Vienna, Nov 21, IRNA – UN nuclear watchdog has presented no authentic document for its claims on Iranian nuclear program and the international body expected to do so, Iran’s Permanent Ambassador to IAEA Reza Najafi said here Thursday.
“We had earlier responded to the agency about the claimed cases, but the IAEA has thus far presented no authentic document about them so that we could discuss and clarify respectively,” Najafi told IRNA Thursday night.
He said that the entire so-called claims on the Iranian peaceful nuclear program are inclusive of a series of baseless lies and the evaluation of the agency’s director general about them is biased.

Najafi, meanwhile, expressed certainty that the IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano at the agency’s board of governors is ineffective on the process of Iran-Sextet Vienna negotiations.

“The issues discussed in the nuclear negations are different in nature,” he stressed.

The IAEA director general claimed in Thursday meeting of the agency’s board of governors that Iran has not taken steps regarding two remaining practical acts and despite the IAEA proposal, presented no proposal on how to cooperate respectively.

Amano’s remarks were made despite Iran’s constructive and positive cooperation within the framework of the defined practical acts and many additional voluntary acts to prove Tehran’s good will.
