TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran failed to book a place in the International Futsal Grand Prix final after being beaten by Colombia on Saturday.
The Iranian team lost to Colombia 4-3 in São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo.

Colombia had previously defeated Iran 2-1 in a shock playoff encounter for quarterfinals of the 2012 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Thailand.

The Colombian team will face host Brazil in the final match on Sunday.

In the third-fourth match, Iran will play Guatemala.

Iran had already defeated Guatemala 7-2 and Cost Rica 5-1 in preliminary round.

The Brazilian Futsal Confederation has organized the FIFA-recognized Grand Prix, one of the world's major tournaments for the sport, every year since 2005. Brazil won seven of the eight editions held so far, losing only once to Spain in 2010.
