London, November 14, IRNA – Iran’s Ambassador to Dublin, expressing optimism about success of the ongoing nuclear talks, said Iranian side is both willing and frank enough to sign a final comprehensive agreement, expecting the other side not to lose this historical chance.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran is determined to preserve its peaceful nuclear technology within the barrier of the international rules and regulations, and as numerous IAEA reports have indicated, there has been no deviation in its nuclear program from the peaceful path,” said Javad Kachou’ian, addressing a group of Dublin State University professors and students.
Referring to a religious decree issued by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution which indicates that production of any type of weapon of mass destruction (WMD), including the nuclear weapons as religiously strictly forbidden, Kacou’ian stressed that Iran is basically favoring a nuclear-weapons-free world.
He elaborated on the peaceful nature of the Iranian nuclear program and the various civil fields in which this technology is serving in Iran today.
The Iranian ambassador also referred to the long-term nuclear talks held between Iran and the world powers and the intensive supervision of the IAEA over the entire aspects if the Iranian nuclear program, criticizing the double-standard observed in its case by the West.
