Berlin, Nov 9, IRNA – Iran’s Hamideh Abbasali in final match plus 68 Kg class of 2104 Bremen World Karate Championship lost the game to Shima Abolyazid from Egypt to suffice in a silver medal.

Abbasali lost the final match in a tight 2-1 competition.

In the preliminary round of the World Karate Competitions Abbasali had gained a rest in drawing lots and in order to reach the final match she had to beat the plus 86 Kg athletes of Belgium, Spain, Holland, and the Hungary.

Hamideh Abbasali’s silver medal in the 2104 Bremen World Karate Championship is the Iranian women’s first ever medial in world competitions of this martial arts field, and therefore of great significance in the country’s history of sports.
