Khorasan-e Razavi, November 6, IRNA – During the past seven months Khorasan-e Razavi province has exported goods worth one billion and five million US dollars, provincial governorate’s economic and international affairs managing director said here Thursday.
“During the first seven months of the current (Iranian) year (1393 – began on March 20, 2014) Khorasan-e Razavi exported 334,000 metric tons of goods, which weighed 10% more compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, and 4% more in terms of value,” Ali Rasoulian told IRNA.
He said that is while during the first month of 1393, Farvardin, the volume of the province’s exports had decreased 18% compared to the previous year and during the first two months of Farvardin and Ordibehesht the decrease lowered to 13%.
The managing director of the governorate’s economic and international affairs attributed that decline to the lowered inflation rate during that period which had decreased the competition power of the Iranian goods in foreign markets and as a result increased the unemployment in the country.
He said that saffron, followed by cement, steel, chinaware, ceramics, plastic products, carpets and floor mats include the top export products of Khorassan-e Razavi.
