TEHRAN Nov 03 (Shana)--Iran’s Petroleum Ministry has selected investors to construct eight gas condensate refineries under the project known as Siraf Refining Park, a deputy petroleum minister said.
“Based on the decision of the ad hoc committee, eight companies are qualified to develop the Siraf refining [park],” Mansour Moazzami said.
He expressed hope that the companies that ran and lost in the bid would be able to serve the petroleum industry for future opportunities.
Siraf Refining Park involves construction of eight 60,000-b/d refineries at Pars Special Economic Energy Zone where the giant South Pars gas field is located.
The park would sprawl on 250 ha of land.
