TEHRAN Oct 8 (Shana)--National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) has picked research advisors for the development of 13 onshore and 7 offshore hydrocarbon fields, a deputy petroleum minister said.
Mohammad-Reza Moqaddam, who is deputy minister for research and technology, said the advisors were picked following the signature of an agreement between NIOC and nine Iranian universities and research institutes.
He identified the 13 onshore fields as Ahvaz, Yadavaran, Maroun, Azadegan, Gachsaran, Koupal, Rag Sefid, Shadegan, Bibi Hakimieh, Mansouri, Darkhoein, Aghajari and Karanj. According to Moqaddam, the seven offshore fields are Doroud, Norouz. South Pars, Abouzar, Forouzan, Soroush and Salman.
These fields have been selected based on their reserves, production and recovery rate.
