Tehran, Oct 2, IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokesperson denied statements attributed to Arab League Secretary General about Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.
Expressing doubt on the published text in an Arab Newspaper quoting Secretary General of Arab League Nabil Elaraby, Marziyeh Afkham said Zarif had not said such a thing in his meeting with Elaraby.
Concerning principled stances of Iran on regional countries, Afkham added that Islamic Republic of Iran has always opposed any kind of interference in internal affairs of other countries and believes that regional problems should be settled through dialogue and cooperation and repeating unreal claims and sewing discord will not help solve problems.

Afkham added that with constructive cooperation and prevention of foreign interference, grounds will be paved for stability, security, growth and development in the region.
