Tehran, Oct 2, IRNA - The customs checkpoint at the border with Azerbaijan Republic will operate round-the-clock following an agreement with the neighboring country.
Mehdi Karbasian, the head of Iran’s Customs Administration, said Iran is determined to expand trade ties with Azerbaijan and will do its best to implement the deal as soon as possible.
Karbasian made the statements after a meeting with Shahin Mustafayev, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economic Development, in Baku.
Mustafayev said customs plays an important role in boosting transactions, especially in the private sector.
“Azerbaijan is ready to launch a joint chamber of commerce,” he said.
