TEHRAN Sept 27 (Shana)--The production capacity of sulfur granulation section of Hasheminejad Refinery is to increase from 600 to 2,000 tons, a deputy head of the facility said.
“Currently, 1,800 tons of sulfur is produced in this company (refinery) with a granulation capacity of 60 tons. This capacity will soar to 2,000 tons with the development of granulation units,” Mehdi Barjini Khabbaz said.
He added that the project is being operated by the private sector on an EPCF basis.
Khabbaz said economic and technical feasibility studies have already been conducted for the project under the supervision of National Iranian Gas Company.
The official said sulfur granulation will cut transport costs and play an effective role in safeguarding the environment.
