Tehran, Sept 17, IRNA – Suspension of petrochemical sanctions has increased export of Iran’s petrochemical products to European countries, including Eastern Europe.
Removal of the obstacles on the way of petrochemical industry has increased exports in this field and to this end Romania is to increase its petrochemical exports from Iran.
Head of the oil, gas and petrochemicals exporters association earlier told IRNA that export of petrochemical products to Western Europe has been resumed and Italy, Spain and Greece have started importing the products.

Secretary General of Iran Chamber of Commerce Ebrahim Bahadorani also referred to the increase in export of petrochemical products to Romania and said in the past petrochemical and foodstuff products were exchanged with Romanian steel and industrial parts, adding that export of such commodities will increase in future.

Prior to the escalation of the international sanctions, 10 to 14 percent of Iran’s petrochemical products were exported to Europe fetching a revenue of 2 to 2.5 billion dollars for Iran.
