Iran President urges closer ties with Brazil

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Saturday congratulated the Brazilian people and government on the occasion of the country’s Independence Day.
 

In a message addressed to Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff, President Rouhani touched upon the good record of bilateral relations between Tehran and Brasilia, expressing the hope that mutual cooperation would be promoted more than ever.




The Iranian President also wished good health and success to the Brazilian president and prosperity for the people and government of the South American country.

The Independence Day of Brazil, commonly called Sete de Setembro (September 7), is a national holiday observed in Brazil on September 7 each year. The date celebrates Brazil's Declaration of Independence from the United Kingdom of Portugal, Brazil and the Algarves on September 7, 1822.
