Iran President, Tajik parliament speaker discuss bilateral issues

Dushanbe, Sept 10, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani and Tajik Parliament Speaker Shakour Jan Zohorov, in a meeting on Wednesday, discussed bilateral issues as well as regional and international developments.
The meeting was held as part of President Rouhani's visit to Tajikistan where a meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is to be held.
Rouhani is also scheduled to meet with Tajikistan's Prime Minister Qahir Rasoulzadeh later in the day.

The president will hold talks with SCO secretary general Thursday morning and then participate in a tripartite meeting with his Tajik and Afghan counterparts.

This is the second time that Rouhani participates in a SCO meeting since he took office in August 2013.
