TEHRAN, Sep. 10 – Iran senior negotiator has told IRNA that Iran, UK are consulting for reopening embassies; announced Iran, EU nuclear talks will kick off on Thursday.
Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Europe and North America Majid Takht-Ravanchi said on Wednesday that Islamic Republic’s non-resident charge d’affaires was recently in London and negotiated on reopening both countries’ embassies.
He said that bilateral talks on expert level are time consuming and both embassies will formally set up their activities soon. He, however, refusedto set date for that.
He also pointed to nuclear talks between Iran and three European countries which will start on Thursday in Vienna.
In line with bilateral talks in Moscow and Geneva between Iran, Russia and US officials which took place during last two weeks, Islamic Republic's nuclear negotiators will hold talks with European countries in Germany.
Ravanchi added that Iran attends negotiations with hope and good intensions despite complexity of talks.
He asserted that the other side should show good will within the frameworks of the subjects related to the Tehran nuclear issue.
The next round of negotiations between Iran and 5 +1 will be on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York on September 17.
