TEHRAN, Sep. 05 (MNA) – Iranian negotiators have started fresh round of bilateral nuclear talks with the US officials in Geneva since Thursday and negotiations will extend to Saturday.

Representatives of Iran and the United States held political and expert level talks for 11 hours on Thursday in Geneva.

Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Seyyed Abbas Araghchi and Deputy Foreign Minsiter for Europe and American Affairs Majid Takht-Ravanchi head the Iran's delegation and US Under Secretary of State Wendy Sherman and Deputy Secretary of State William Joseph Burns head the American delegation for political level talks. The two sides negotiated for 6 hours on Thursday in two morning and afternoon sessions.

Also Deputy Foreign Minister for Political and International Affairs Hamid Baiedinejad heads Iranian delegation for expert level nuclear negotiations in Geneva while the US delegation is headed by Jim Timby; they held talks for 5 hours on Thursday.

After the long Vienna 6 nuclear talks between Iran and the Sextet this is the second round of the comprehensive talks between the Iranian and the US delegations.

On September 10 Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and the the  representative of G5+1 Catherine Ashton held talks in the Belgian capital city, Brussels, to discussions over Tehran nuclear issue.

Iran and the G5+1 will have new round of nuclear talks on the Islamic Republic’s nuclear dossier on the fringes of UN General Assembly which will kick off on September 16.

The 5+1 will discuss ways to reach a comprehensive nuclear deal with Iran based on the interim nuclear deal clinched in November 2013, called Joint Plan of Action, which ended on July 20 but the two sides failed to reach an agreement to start drafting a final comprehensive deal and they agreed to extend negotiations until November 24.
