Czech FM calls for practical steps to develop ties with Iran

TEHRAN (FNA)- Czech Foreign Minister Lubomír Zaorálek in a meeting with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht Ravanchi underscored his country's enthusiasm for taking practical steps to expand relations and cooperation with Tehran.
During the meeting in Prague on Wednesday, Zaorálek stressed the age-old relations between Iran and Czech, and said, "We need to take practical steps aimed at expansion of bilateral relations with an optimist vision about the future."

Takht Ravanchi, for his part, underlined using the two countries' capacities in various economic, cultural and political fields to expand bilateral relations.

Takht Ravanchi arrived in Prague on Wednesday to discuss bilateral ties and regional developments with senior officials of the Czech Republic.

He is also scheduled to meet his Czech counterpart and head of the Republic's Chamber of Commerce.

The Czech Republic in Central Europe separated from Czech-Slovakia Republic in 1990s following the devastating Balkans War and its capital city is the historical Prague City.

In the Czech Republic the Prime Minister is the head of the government and along with his cabinet members he rules the nation.

The National Parliament Assembly and the Senate are the legislative bodies of the Czech Republic.
