TEHRAN (Tasnim) – US volleyball coach John Speraw said that defeat against Iran in the FIVB Men’s World Championship was heartbreaking.
Iran provided another major hit at FIVB Men’s World Championship in Poland as the team claimed its second win in Krakow, this time in a thrilling five-setter over US by 3-2 (25-23, 25-19, 19-25, 18-25, 17-15).
“I'm proud for being able to come back and it's heartbreaking that we've lost," John Speraw told in the post match news conference.
"The guys looked much better in the third set and I wish we could bring this energy much earlier,” Speraw added, poland2014.fivb.org reported.
“This is an opportunity for my team to grow; we are not playing as efficiently and sharp as we did in the past. As for Iran, they played just fantastic. They have a great setter and deserved to win today,” he added.
