TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Persepolis of Tehran earned a victory after three weeks in the Iranian Professional League (IPL) on Saturday.
The Reds defeated Saba 2-0 in Qom’s Yadegar-e Emam Stadium.
Omid Alishah gave the visiting team a lead just six minuts into the match. Persepolis extended its advantage in the second period through Mehdi Taromi in the 60th minute.
Persepolis moved into 7th place with its away win with eight points from six games.
Elsewhere, Malavan was held to a 1-1 draw by Esteghlal Khuzestan and newly-promoted Padideh defeated Rah Ahan 3-0.
Esteghlal leads the IPL table with 15 points, followed by Tractor Sazi and Padideh with 13 and 12 points respectively.
