Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has hailed the 2006 victory of Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement against Israel as a moment of glory for the Muslim world.
In a message to Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, Zarif congratulated the resistance movement and the Lebanese nation on the anniversary of Lebanon’s “great victory” against Israel in the 33-Day war in 2006.

Zarif also described the triumph as a source of honor and dignity for the Lebanese nation.

“The memories of the heroic Lebanese resistance in fighting the armed-to-the-teeth Zionist army in the 33-day war are unforgettable,” he pointed out.

Hezbollah Secretary-General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah has said in numerous occasions that  the movement has both the capability and the courage to defend Lebanon and that Hezbollah’s missiles are ready to strike certain targets inside Israel in self-defense if Tel Aviv launches an attack on Lebanon.
