TEHRAN August 12 (Shana)--Crude oil sale at Iran’s Energy Exchange has failed due to lack of diversity in delivery spots, a senior Iranian official said.
“Non-diversity of crude oil delivery spots is a reason behind the failure of crude oil selling at Energy Exchange,” Rokneddin Javadi, managing-director of National Iranian Oil Company, said.
Crude oil sale at Energy Exchange came to a halt on Sunday.
“We have to gradually let neighboring countries sell oil for us through Energy Exchange,” said Javadi.
He added that letting neighboring countries sell oil for Iran will earn Iran benefits.
Director for international affairs of NIOC, Mohsen Qamsari, said recently said that the location of oil pipelines has caused restrictions for buyers.
