Nasim—The speaker of Iran’s parliament (Majlis), Ali Larijani, congratulated Sayed Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary General of the Lebanese political and paramilitary organization Hezbollah, on the anniversary of their victory inthe 2006 Lebanon War.
“This victory marks the potentials and capabilities of Hezbollah in securing the stability, independence and peace in the Lebanon against the Zionist regime of Israel,” Larijani wrote in his letter.
The 2006 Lebanon War was a 34-day military conflict in Lebanon, northern Israel and the Golan Heights, started on 12 July 2006, when Hezbollah resistance forced Israel to lift its naval blockade of Lebanon.
