Coal concentrate output up

Tehran, Aug 4, IRNA - Coal concentrate production from Iran’s major mines has grown by 18 percent in the first quarter of the current Iranian year (started March 21).
In this period, four of the country’s main coal companies produced 270,685 tons of coal concentrate, which is 229,380 tons higher than last year’s figure.
Tabas Parvadeh Coal Company’s coal concentrate output amounted to 129,711 tons, Kerman Coal Company produced 74,678 tons, Eastern Alborz Coal Company accounted for 34,971 tons of the total figure and that of Alborz Coal Company reached 31,325 tons.

The companies extracted 683,139 tons of coal concentrate in the same period, up by 209,160 tons (44 percent) year-on-year. Last year, the companies had mined 473,979 tons of the ore.

In the same time-span, 315,546 tons of coal concentrate were sent to coke production companies, indicating a 33-percent growth against the figure for the same period of last year, which was 237,252 tons.
