Tehran, July 20, IRNA – Former member of Iran?s national football team and former FC Bayern München midfielder Ali Karimi officially bade farewell to football.
Karimi, 36, who has also played for Iran?s most popular club, Perspolis, issued a farewell letter on Sunday.
Karimi played for Tractor Sazi Tabriz FC last season. He made the decision despite receiving offers from several teams for the next season.
Karimi scored 38 goals for Iranian national team in 127 appearances to become the country?s third goal-scorer following Ali Daei and Karim Baqeri.
