Beijing, July 15, IRNA - Iran?s Ambassador to Tokyo Reza Nazar-Ahari on Tuesday called for expansion of ties with Japan in the field of archeology.
He made the remarks while addressing the 14th Iran Archeology Seminar held in Tokyo in the presence of 80 Japanese archaeologists.
He said Iran and Japan enjoy numerous cultural commonalities, calling for reinforcement of all-out cooperation.
The envoy also stressed that archeology plays a pivotal role in introducing culture and civilization of all countries.
