Tehran, July 8, IRNA – Exports from Aras Free Trade Zone have increased by 144 percent, compared with the corresponding period last year, AFTZ Managing Director Mohsen Khadem Arab-Baghi said on Tuesday.
Some 66 million dollars worth of goods have been exported from AFTZ since the beginning of the current Iranian year (started March 21), showing a 144-percent rise compared to the same period, the official said.
?The goods weighing 10,000 tons were exported to Georgia, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkey, Germany, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and some other European countries,? he added.
Arab-Baghi said that the exported goods and products included trailers, trucks, cotton, furniture, different kinds of kitchen cabinet sheets, plastic rolls and bags, copper ingot, wooden pallets, metal stand, gasoline, diesel fuel, polyethylene, steel rod, kitchen utensils, raison, freezers, beds and motorcycles.
There are more than 100 manufacturing, industrial, and trading units active in Aras Free Trade Zone and their products are exported to target countries across the globe.
