TEHRAN July 5 (Shana)--Oil production from the offshore Hendijan oil field is expected to rise by 22,000 b/d in the current calendar year to March 2015, director for planning of Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) said.
“Given development activities in Hendijan field, we hope that production from this field would rise by around 22,000 barrels this year,” Mohammad-Hossein Daneshfar said.
“The necessary jackets for the development of this field have already been installed and four wells are being drilled simultaneously. With the drilling of these wells, enhanced production from this field will start,” he said.
Hendijan field started production in the late 1950s. The oil produced by this field is of 26 to 27 degrees API.
Daneshfar also said that production from Reshadat field will increase as wellhead drilling platforms have been installed.
Discovered in 1965, Reshadat was initially developed by the Italian company Iminico.
