TEHRAN (FNA)- New Iranian Ambassador to Switzerland Gholam Ali Khoshro and Swiss Federal President Didier Burkhalter stressed the need for both Tehran and Bern to utilize each and every capacity and potential to pave the way for the promotion of the relations in all sectors.
In a meeting in Bern on Tuesday, Khoshro conveyed Iran's President Hassan Rouhani?s message to Burkhalter, and voiced Tehran's enthusiasm for expanding mutual cooperation in all fields.
Khoshro also appreciated Switzerland for hosting several rounds of nuclear talks between Iran and the six major world powers.
President Burkhalter, who is also Swiss Foreign Minister, expressed hope that ties between the two countries would witness further expansion during Khoshro's tenure.
In April, Iranian and Swiss parliamentarians emphasized the need to remove all the obstacles impeding expansion of Tehran-Bern relations, specially in parliamentary fields.
In a meeting between member of the Swiss Federal Assembly Luzi Stamm and Head of Iran-Switzerland Parliamentary Friendship Group Abbasli Mansouri Arani, Stamm called for the promotion of bilateral ties, and expressed hope that contacts and diplomatic shuttles between the Iranian and Swiss parliamentary officials would increase in future.
Several foreign parliamentary delegations have announced their willingness to visit Iran after Tehran and the world powers struck a deal in Geneva in late November.
