IRNA – Anzali – Lotus flowers in Anzali Lagoon seen in this August 13 photo are one of the alluring tourist attractions of this northern Iranian port in Gilan Province. The aquatic plant grows in Anzali Lagoon which lies in the Caspian Sea near Bandar-e Anzali. The lagoon divides Bandar-e Anzali into two parts, and is home to both the Selke Wildlife Refuge and the Siahkesheem Marsh. The lagoon has been listed in Ramsar Convention dated 21 December 1975.
