Photos: 31st Fajr Film Festival wraps up in Tehran

The 31st international Fajr film festival wrapped up its work in the Iranian capital Tehran, as this year’s Best Film Award went to Ali Ghaffari’s feature-length movie Refund.
The Best Director Award was presented to Parviz Shahbazi for his movie “Darband”.
Hamid Farrokhnejad picked up the Best Actor Award for his role in Refund.
Meanwhile, the crystal Symorph for the Best Actress went to Hanieh Tavassoli for her role in The Corridor directed by Behrouz Shoeibi. Behnam Behzadi received the crystal symorph for Best Screenplay for the movie Rule of Accident. Meanwhile, Maziar Miri’s latest production Painting pool received Audience Award for Best Film. The 2013 Fajr film festival was held in different sections including ‘International section’, Iranian cinema, ‘New Vision’ and documentary competition. The international section of the 31st Fajr Festival also awarded the best foreign movies. 16 crystal Simorghs were presented to best actors and actresses cinematographers and directors while the jury’s pick for best motion pictures promoting Islamic human Right went to the movie “Berlin minus seven”. All together 110 movies took part in the international section. The annual festival is comprised of two competitive sections and two non-competitive categories.
