Islamabad, Oct 6, IRNA - A Pakistani analyst on Sunday said that Iranian President Hassan Rouhani had a fruitful visit to the United Nations (UN) and his welcome at the world stage has proved that the Islamic Republic enjoys a strong diplomatic apparatus.
Talking to IRNA, Syed Qandil Abbas, assistant Professor of International Relations at Quaid-e-Azam University praised the role of Iran and Russia in saving the world from destruction of a possible war in the Middle East and resolving the crisis in Syria diplomatically.
“I think that the visit of Iranian President to United Nation was a successful one,” he noted.
The analyst said that Iran has earned a great respect for the role it has played in Syria.
He said the world has no other option but to accept Iran’s peaceful nuclear right, adding that even the United Nations has acknowledged the role of Iran which is a great achievement for the Islamic Republic. He went on to say that the world has rejected the US stance on Syria.
On Irans peaceful nuclear program, the analyst said that the country has always pursued the path of peace.
He said that western world is failed to understand the importance of Supreme Leader’s decree against development of nuclear weapons. “His decree is the best guarantee that Iran will never seek nuclear weapons”.
Underlining the need to continue talks between Iran and West, he added that Iran’s peaceful nuclear right should be respected. He said many countries in the world are developing peaceful nuclear technology so Iran should also be allowed to carry on its peaceful nuclear activities.
On isolation of the Zionist regime, he said in addition to the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran, the awakening movements in the Arab world have further isolated the Zionist regime. He said the illegitimate state will never be able to accomplish its evil designs against the Islamic world.
