Mecca’s September 11: Do the Saudis tell the truth?

15 Sep 2015 - 15:23

The recent crane collapse accident in Mecca took place just at 17:10 pm on September 11, injured and killed more than 300 pilgrims.

Immediately after the incident, Saudi Arabia media announced that the crane was brought down by strong wind and heavy rain.

Al-Arabia Channel claimed that wind speed at the moment of the incident in Mecca was 65 km/h, justifying the horrible event.

CNN also exaggeratedly declared the wind speed of 95 km/h which, to its claim, has been rare over the last 37 years in the Middle East.

Meanwhile, Head of Center of Excellence for Climate Change Research at King Abdulaziz University, Dr. Mansour Almazroui, estimated the wind speed at the moment of the incident to be between 40 and 55 km, announced it as the main factor for crane collapse in the Grand Mosque of Mecca.

However, the credible climate reports indicates that maximum wind speed did not exceed 22 km/h on September 11 in Mecca.

Such reports, obtained from global websites (weather.org and worldweatheronline.com), can prove Saudis’ false claims.

Also, according to some media involved in climate changes, the wind direction at the moment of the incident in Mecca was to the North West, exactly opposite to the crane collapse which was to the South West.

2Another point to be addressed is that the crane collapse took place just behind the Station of Ibrahim, having high population density.

Finally, the incident reminds us of 9/11 in the United States. By surveying technical evidence and media coverage after the incident, it is likely that this horrible tragedy has been intentionally taken place.
