Fact sheet shows US ill will in nuclear talks: Analyst

10 Apr 2015 - 17:09

Press TV has interviewed Mohammad Marandi, professor at the University of Tehran, and Michael Lane, with the American Institute for Foreign Policy, in Washington, to discuss the US interpretation of a mutual understanding reached between Iran and the P5+1 in the latest round nuclear negotiations in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Marandi highlighted Tehran’s stance that a so-called fact sheet recently published by the US government about the mutual Iran-P5+1 understanding is “distorted and dishonest.”

The Iranian side has not yet issued its own fact sheet on the Lausanne statement, said the analyst, adding, however, that the US has revealed its ill will by releasing its own interpretation of the Iran-P5+1 understanding.
Lane, for his part, says both Iran and the US need to make a lot of efforts to overcome the distrust between the two sides, adding that tensions in Tehran-Washington ties could not be resolved in the short term.
