Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Ali Bagheri Kani in a meeting with Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri on Wednesday said that Iran and Lebanon stand firmly together in confronting challenges.

Bagheri Kani met and held talks with Berri in Beirut on Wednesday.

Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs said that the enemies of the region are imposing an outrageous siege against Lebanon and Iran.

Lebanon and Iran will always remain in a position of strength to meet the challenges, he stressed.

Bagheri Kani further noted that Iran will remain with Lebanon and support calm, stability, and resistance against its enemies.

Berri, for his part, called for the creation of a suitable situation for the Iraqi government to bring closer the relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia.
