The Iranian province of Qom, located south of the capital Tehran, exported $263 million worth of non-oil products during a 9-month period starting on March 21, 2022, the head of the Industry, Mine and Trade Department said on Wednesday.
Akbar Abdali Mohammadi added that the figure shows a 28-percent growth compared with the corresponding period a year before.
He made the remarks during a ceremony to honor top exporters of Qom Province.
The official also said that the amount of non-oil exports during the March-December period in 2022 increased by 63 percent in terms of weight compared with the similar period a year earlier.
Hassan Aghajani, head of Qoms Exporters Union addressed the ceremony as well. He said that measures are underway to increase support for the exporters of the central province.
