Iran unveils 'Sayyad 4B' missile

Iran unveils
The 'Sayyad 4B' missile was unveiled on Sunday morning in the presence of Iran's Minister of Defense, the Commander of the Army Air Defense Force.

During a ceremony attended by Iran's Minister of Defense Brigadier-General Mohammad Reza Ashtiani, Commander of Irans Army Air Defense Force Brigadier General Alireza Sabahifard, and a group of the country's defense industry experts, the missile was unveiled.

The test of the upgraded 'Bavar-373' air defense systemagainst long-range static targets was successfully carried outwith the long-range 'Sayyad 4B'missile.

During the test, the static target was detected at a range of more than 450 km by the optimized radar of the 'Bavar-373' system and tracked at a range of about 405 km, and hit and completely destroyed at a range of more than 300 km.



The 'Sayyad 4B' long-range missile has solid fuel and was fully operationally evaluated for the first time.

The detection radar range of the 'Bavar-373' system has increased from 350 to 450 km, and the engagement radar range of the system has increased from 260 to 400 km.

The missile range of the 'Bavar-373' system has also increased from 200 to 300 km, and its engagement height has increased from 27 to 32 km.

Speaking at the ceremony,Brigadier General Alireza Sabahifard said thatIran is one of the few countries in the world that has been able to indigenize this system.

"As much as the threats advance, the 'Bavar-373' system and other air defense systems advance ahead of the current threats," he added, saying that 'Bavar-373' is equipped with the latest equipment and technologies in the world.

General Ashtiani also said in the ceremony thatthe system has the ability to engage with 6 targets and destroy them. Many technologically advanced countries in the world aspire to have such a system.
