Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi in a message to the newly elected Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Sabbar al-Sudani expressed Iran's readiness to expand Tehran-Baghdad ties in all areas.

The Iranian president felicitated al-Sudani upon his post.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran has always supported Iraq's political process based on the people's vote and will not spare any efforts to expand brotherly relations with Iraq," Raeisi stressed.

Iran's Raisi also called for strengthening Iran-Iraq's brotherly relations in all aspects beyond official ties.
